Apply for NEST 2025 to pursue science education with a scholarship that provides a direct path from Plus Two to MSc at premier institutions 


🔹 NEST (National Entrance Screening Test)offers an opportunity to pursue integrated science education with high scholarships at prestigious institutions across the country.   


🔸 Study opportunities are available at the *National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar*, and the *Center for Excellence in Basic Sciences (CEBS), Mumbai University*, both under the *Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India*.  


🔹 The institutions offer *5-year Integrated MSc programs* in *Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics*.  


🛑 *_Online applications can be submitted until May 9._*  


‼️ *The entrance exam will be held on June 22.*  


🔹 *NISER has 200 seats, while CEBS has 57 seats.* Admissions will follow the reservation policies of the central government. Exam centers are available in all districts of Kerala except Wayanad. Candidates can choose up to *three preferred exam centers*.  


🔻 Facilities for selected candidates 👇🏻  


🔸 Selected candidates will receive an annual *scholarship of ₹60,000* and a *summer internship stipend of ₹20,000* as part of the Department of Atomic Energy’s DISHA program. After completing the course, they will have research opportunities in *renowned scientific institutions* in India and abroad. Additionally, academically outstanding students will have a direct interview opportunity for admission to the *Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) Training School*.  


Eligibility Criteria 👇🏻  


🔹 Applicants must have *completed Plus Two (12th grade) in the Science stream*.  


‼️ *_Candidates must have scored at least 60% marks in Science subjects in 11th and 12th grades._*  


🔹 For SC/ST candidates, *the minimum required mark is 55%*.  


Exam Pattern 👇🏻  


🔸 The exam will be a *computer-based objective test* lasting *3.5 hours*, conducted on *June 22*.  


🔹 The exam will be held in *two sessions*:  

- Morning: *9:00 AM – 12:30 PM*  

- Afternoon: *2:30 PM – 6:00 PM*  

Candidates can choose one session.  


🔹 Questions will be from *Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics*, with each section carrying *50 marks*.  


🔸 Ranking will be based on the top three scoring sections. *Negative marking* applies for incorrect answers.  


🔹 The *syllabus and past question papers* (since 2007) are available on the official website. Separate merit lists will be prepared for NISER and CEBS.
